A Contribution to Islamic Economics
By Syed Nawab Haider Naqvi
Paperback 244 Pages

This title presents the ethical foundations of economics in general and of Islamic economics in particular. It explicitly recognises that individual economic well-being has a deep moral basis which is rooted in religious belief.

A major theme of the book is to highlight the areas where religious and secular ethical philosophies can fruitfully interact to enhance human-well being.
The Principal religious ethical systems (especially Islam, Christianity and Judaism) stand to gain from each other's moral visions and their endeavours to maximise human well-being
