EID MUBARAK: Farewell Ramadan & Welcome Positive Change

Farewell Ramadan and Welcome  Renewal and Reaffirmation for Positive Change

Taqabbal' Allahu Minna wa Minkum (May Allah accept it from you and us)
May Allah accept our Fasting, Qiyam and all of our Ibadah, forgive us our sins and all our shortcomings.

First of all as we celebrate Eid, let us not forget the Muslims suffering in many parts of the world, particularly in Palestine. Innocent children, men and women are being killed and maimed by the Aggressive and Oppressive Israeli Thugs. Let us Pray to Allah (swa)  that He brings about the victory that He has promised the Ummah towards the end of times.

  • As we bid farewell to Ramadan, it is a good time to remind ourselves and to take a moment to reflect upon our actions and motives during Ramadan.

  • Let this month be a starting point for further piety because from the signs of Allah's acceptance of our fasting is that He helps us to become steadfast in the Deen after Ramadan.

  • It is a farewell, but also a renewal, a reaffirmation, a positive change, and we should have full hope that In sh Allah we will be among the ones mentioned in the hadith below:

  • "There is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Raiyan, and those who observe fasts will enter through it on the Day of Resurrection and none except them will enter through it. It will be said, 'Where are those who used to observe fasts?' They will get up, and none except them will enter through it. After their entry the gate will be closed and nobody will enter through it." [Sahih Bukhari]
  •

 Allahu-Akbar, Allahu-Akbar. La ila-ha ill-lal-lah. Allahu-Akbar, Allahu-Akbar. Wa-lilahill hamd.
(Allah is greater. Allah is greater. There is no god but Allah. Allah is greater. Allah is greater. And all praises are for Allah).

  • 'O Children of Adam ! wear your beautiful apparel at every time and place of prayer:
  • eat and drink: but waste not by excess,
  • for Allah loveth not the wasters. [TMQ 7:31]

Celebrate in Moderation

  • 'Then, they were followed by generations who neglected the prayer and followed
  • their appetites. They will encounter a pit of fire except for those who
  • repent…' [TMQ Maryam 59-60]

The Messenger of Allah Said

  • 'No human ever filled a vessel worse than the stomach Sufficient for any son
  • of Adam are some morsels to keep his back straight.''But if it must be,
  • then one third for his food, one third for his drink and one third for his
  • breath.'[Ahmad, Tirmizi, Nasaa’ie, Ibn Majah – Hadeeth saheeh.

A'isha (RA) said that Rasulullah (saw) said :

We ask Allah that He accepts from us our fasting, our standing in prayer, our recitation of the Qur'an and Forgiveness for our Past Sins.
