Laylatul Bara'ah: The 15th Night Of Sha'ban
The Month Of Sha'ban
Sha'ban is the eighth month of Hijri calendar and Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be upon Him) said, "Sha'ban A month to which people do not pay attention, between Rajab and Ramadan, and it is a month in which deeds are lifted up to the Lord of the Worlds. I like for my deeds to be lifted up when I am fasting." - (Sunan Nasai)
The Night of Bara'ah (Shab-e-Bar'at)
The Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) said
“When the night of 15th Shabaan arrives spend the night awake and keep fast the next day”.
Recommendation for this night include:
(a) Salah - increase voluntary nawafil prayers.
Although not mentioned directly in the Qur'an, two ayaat are sometimes ascribed to Mid-Sha‘ban:
"Indeed, We sent it down during a blessed night. Indeed, We were to warn [mankind] On that night is made distinct every precise matter." - (Qur'an 44:3–4)
Who Are Deprived Of Mercy On This Night:
Allah forgives all muslim in this night besides
So we must be careful of these sins before advent of this blessed night and seek "Touba" from Allah and deserve of Divine mercy.
Fast Of The 15th Sha'ban:
To keep fast the next day of 15th Sha'ban is Mustahab (Advisable) as mentioned in Sunan Ibn Majah Narrated by Hadhrat Ali (R.A).
The Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) said “When the night of 15th Sha'ban arrives spend the night awake and keep fast the next day”. (Sunan Ibn Majah 1388)

First Night of Ramadan : Tuesday Night 15 May 2018
First Fast : Wednesday 16 May 2018

Although many of the Ahadith are Classed as weak, many of the scholars have been compelled to accept that this night does possess some virtue, due to the sheer large number of ahadith available.
