This book is an effort to understand the Qur'an with a modern
mind. It provides an in-depth and insightful study of Surahs al-Fatihah and al-Baqarah,
with each surah being divided into several sections with study notes or
reflections of different lengths.

Dr. Irfan Ahmad Khan is a renowned Islamic scholar
and author. He is the founder and president of the World Council of Muslims for
Interfaith Relations. He is former Professor of Philosophy at Aligarh Muslim
University, India, and former editor of The Journal of Islamic Thought.
