About Shaikh Abu Zakariya Abdus Salaam Al-Rustami
He was the son of Sheikh Abd-Rauf, and was born in religious family in Rustam, a city of Khaibar Fatkhunkha, (Date of birth is unknown). He was brought up in a religious environment.
His father was a Khateeb of a Masjid in his city, as well as his maternal and paternal uncles were great scholar of their time.
In the earlier days, Sheikh Rustami studied under his father. Then joined "Darul Uloom Haqqaniya" in Khaibar Fatkhunkha, where he completed "Dour-e-Hadith" under Sheikh Abd-Rahman al-Bahbudi.
After that, he started teaching in his village, some books of Hanafi Fiqh and translation of the Holy Qur'an. The time rolled by and he established a Madrasa, "Taleem-al-Qur'an" in his village Rustam.
He was a great scholar and Mufassir-e-Qur'an. Sometimes he also went against Moulana Mawdudi about his opinion towards Sahaba Kiraam and wrote a book that was totally against Moulana Mawdudi.
Inspite of all this, he really respected Moulana and greatly venerated him.
He was a Hanafi Alim but turned in 1992 to Salafi. His writings go around 24 in Arabic, Urdu & Pashto.
His famous writings are:

He departured to the Marcy of Allah on Monday 24 Muharram in 1436 AH.
