About The Book
The famous 5th Century Hijri, Ahadith compilation by Imam Al-Nawawi, the ahadith are predominantly from Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim (Other ahadith are from the reliable Books such as Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Muwatta Imam Malik), considered by Many as the Most Important Book after the Qur'an Simply because it is a Summary of authentic Traditions of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) covering most parts of ones life.
About Imam al-Nawawi
Imam Muhyi ddin Abi Zakareyya Yahya ibn Sharaff al-Nawawi known simply as Imam Nawawi : a Muhaddith, Jurist (According to Shafi'i school of thought) & specialist in Lughah, completed recitation and memorisation of the Holy Qur'an at the age of 12 or 13 years.
He was Born in the village of Nawa in Southern Syria, and at the age of 18 he shifted to Damascus, where he met Mufti of ash-Shaam, Sheikh Abdurrahman Bin Ibrahim Al-Fazari and learned from him, and spent in Damiscus around ten years, learning, teaching, writing the knowledgeable books and taking the responsibilities of Darul Hadith on his shoulders. He lived in a simple manner, devoted to Allah, engaging single-mindedly in worship, study, writing and teaching various Islamic sciences.
Although best known for his works in hadith, Yahya ibn Sharaf al-Nawawi (d. 676/1277) was also the Imam of the later Shafi'i school of Jurisprudence, and widely acknowledged as the intellectual heir to Imam Shafi'i. He was a renowned scholar and jurist who dedicated his life to the pursuit of Islamic learning.
He died at the young age of 44 years, leaving behind him numerous works of great efforts and knowledge.
Imam Nawawi is well know for books which are easy to understand. As Allah(SWT) says in Qur'an
'...He has not placed any hardship upon you in religion...' - [TM Qur'an 22:78]
'Whenever you speak to the people of something their mind cannot comprehend, it could lead some of them towards fitna' - (Muslim)
About The Shareh
Muhammad Ali Al-Sabuni one the prominent scholars of Ahl-e-Sunnah Wal-Jama'ah, and a possessor of a great knowledge of Qur'an in the modern age. He was born in the city of Halab, Al-Syria in 1930 AD and brought up in the same city. Started learning of beginning knowledge on the hand of his Father Sheikh Jamil Al-Sabuni. He continued in Halab till he passed primary & middle school in 1949 AD. After that, He was sent for higher education by the minister of Awqaf (endowment) to Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt, where he got Certificate of Kulliyah-Al-Sharia in 1952 AD.
His activities are unable to be counted on fingers or on a page. In Short, He gave Dars-e-Qur'an daily in Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, and
one day of a week in Madinah al-Munawwarah, Specially during the Hajj he used to sit in Makkah for ehtiqaaf.
He has many writings in Arabic which have been translated into different languages as English, Persian & Turkish.
