About The Book
The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, ‘I was sent from the best of generations of Adam’s progeny, generation after generation, until I reached my generation’ (Ṣahih al-Bukhari).
Unsurprisingly, in light of this narration and numerous other evidences, the classical scholarly position has established the eternal salvation of the Prophet’s parents, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and his direct ancestors.
These two treatises provide a concise, yet in-depth analysis of the methods used to prove this position.
About The Authors
Imam Jalal al-Din as-Suyuti: `Abd al-Rahman ibn Kamal al-Din Abi Bakr, Jalal al-Din al-Misri al-Suyuti al-Shafi`i al-Ash`ari, also known as Ibn al-Asyuti (849-911), the mujtahid imam and renewer of the tenth Islamic century, foremost hadith master, jurist, Sufi, philologist, and historian, he authored works in virtually every Islamic science.
Born to a Turkish mother and non-Arab father and raised as an orphan in Cairo, he memorised the Qur'an at eight, then several complete works of Sacred Law, fundamentals of jurisprudence, and Arabic grammar; after which he devoted himself to studying the Sacred Sciences under about a hundred and fifty shaykhs.
A giant among contemporaries, he remained alone, producing a sustained output of scholarly writings until his death at the age of sixty-two. He was buried in Hawsh Qawsun in Cairo.
Shaykh Ishaq ʿAzuz al-Makki (1330–1415 AH) was a prominent Meccan scholar, who was involved in the administration of Islamic education for several decades in the Ḥijaz. Not only did he study with a number of leading scholars of his time, but he also wrote on a broad range of topics.
