About The Author
The author, Mr. Mazheruddin Siddiqi, graduate from Madras University in 1935, and obtained his M.A. from the institute of Islamic Studies, McGill University, in 1954. He was Head of the Muslim History Department of the Sind University 1956-60. He was Professor in the Islamic Research Institute, and retired in 1984. Some of his other works are: Women in Islam; Marxism or Islam?; Islam and Theocracy; The Development of Islamic State & Society; Concept of Muslim Culture in Iqbal; Modern Reformation Thought in the Muslim World.
